Default Battery longevity

Hi, I'm looking to buy a used cart and I've narrowed it down to two. One is a 2008 RXV and it has 08 batteries. The other is a 2008 TXT Series that has brand new batteries. How long do the batteries in these carts usually last? I don't want to have to replace the batteries in the RXV as soon as I get it even though it may be a better cart. Also, from reading this forum it looks like the early RXVs have had their fair share of issues. Are the TXT series carts more reliable? Would it be worth it to get the RXV instead even if I have to replace the batteries soon? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You are comparing apples to oranges.
07 introduced RXV with AC drive.
AN 08 with original batteries has to be considered in need of batteries.

TXT is a model with 17 yrs of trial and error under it's belt. Buying one is a bit like getting a ford truck.

What is your intended use and what are your performance expectations for the cart.

I'll mostly be using the cart around a 50 acre farm. Slightly off road but nothing too rough. Both carts I'm looking at already have a 6" lift and all terrain tires. I was considering the RXV mainly for more speed. I'm starting to think that the TXT may be the way to go though.

Scottyb is right-on about those 08 batteries. I recently purchased an 08 TXT (PDS) with 08 batteries and they are on their last legs !! I replaced one already recently with a similarly aged used battery to tide me over for a month or so before I go back North from Florida. I think the pack will need replacing in the fall when I return. Good luck on your decision-RAY
