relocating tow run switch
Sorry if this has been answered but i cant find it in the search. It seems dumb to have that switch under the seat. Is it possible to move it to the dash and if so how do i do that. Thankdk

Re: relocating tow run switch
Yep. Just remove the switch from where it is, run wires from where it is to where you want it. Install the switch and tie the wires back in to it. A switch is a switch and breaks the circuit from anywhere you chose to put it.

Re: relocating tow run switch
I don't have a clue. Might be just to make the open area a little cleaner and simpler, like putting the hour meter under the seat rather than on the dash. Don't know.

Re: relocating tow run switch
They put it under the seat because it is a service switch. Put the cart in tow before performing any electrical work.

Re: relocating tow run switch
Would that be true also for puting a toggle switch on the dash so i could interupt the speed chip and go back to stock setting so the regen braking is on. I cant remember how many wires were in the speed chip but would a switch allow u to change without opening the box. Is there any danger of someone flipping the switch on the go.

Re: relocating tow run switch
You can do that. The R/T switch needs to be cycled after you switch modes. Like rebooting a computer.

Re: relocating tow run switch
So if someone flipped the switch from speed to stock mode while your driving down the road it wouldnt do anything untill u came to a stop and put the run tow into the tow mode.????

Ha, in theory sound scary. So your saying no ones tried it. Over the years i thought in theory this should work and ended up with something busted, worst of all sometimes it was me.
