Sunuco,

I live in Louisiana and have a stealth 48 volt XR. It needs some work. Would you be interested in repairing this cart or do you know anyone who would be interested?

Hey guys, having a problem with my stealth edge. Have a VERY odd situation with my solenoids. Looking from the rear of cart I have replaced the far right and middle(which I think is the forward solenoid. My batteries are good and I have tested my controller but I jumped terminals with my old forward solenoid and it would go in to forward so my thought was bad solenoid so I replaced it. Installed the new one and got nothing, it wouldn’t even jump(it did get VERY hot while trying to jump and started melting the wire I was using). The next day I come back and the forward would work and I could not get the reverse to do anything!(that alone is very odd and just doesn’t make sense) what is the odds I have 3 bad solenoids? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its either FNR switch, throttle or solenoids acting up. The controller should be a Curtis 1268.

Post some pictures of the solenoid set up and the controller. In all honesty I am very familiar with the series system they used but not so much the sepex system in the Edge. Its standard ish though

The rumor is there are only 55 or so Edge units that were sold before they went under. Its the only vehicle they used a sepex system on.

Hopefully someone else will chime in but to me the F/R contacting system is overkill for this 48v unit in the first place.

I appreciate the information. I will do my best to get you some pics ASAP. I’m at the end of my rope and I don’t want to start throwing money out the door on parts I don’t need. BTW I am not the best with electronics but I’m pretty sure this is a 72v system but didn’t know if you were talking about something else when you said 48v? Thank you for the help

You said 48v. If its an XR then its either 48 or 64v, depending on when it was made

OK, I thought I was going crazy... I will send the solenoid pic tomorrow. I had head the MCOR could go bad but that still seems odd to me that it would go in forward but not reverse. HOWEVER, it might explain why it wouldn’t go in forward the first day and it would the very next day...?
