Ok, finally got my cart back from the shop, left it on the charger overnight and just checked the batteries. Had 2 reading 12.4V, one 11.4V, and one 11.2V, so the batteries are definitely toast.

I did stop in at Interstate Battery the other day to see what they charge for 8V batteries, $122 a piece. Is there any reason the Interstate batteries would be worth the extra $$$ over Sam's, or should I just go with Sam's @ $100 a piece?

When I went to check the battery voltage this morning, just out of curiosity, I hit the gas pedal to see if anything happened. To my surprised, the cart jumped to life. It drove about 50 feet before giving up and going back to getting no response from the gas pedal...

Was finally able to get some new batteries and get everything hooked back up. Everything appears to be back up and running after just replacing the batteries. Drove it about 1.5 miles without any problems. It does feel a little slow, but that could just be in my head. It was running ~11-12mph, is that fairly normal for a precedent? It also feels a little....jumpy.. from time to time at full speed. It's pretty subtle, but still noticeable. Just feels like its having a little bit of a hard time keeping a constant speed. I don't know if that's a sign of anything, it's done it for as long as i can remember.

11-12 is a bit slow (assuming program is speed code 3) - it should be closer to 14-ish. One of the most common issues with the accelerators that use MCOR is a loose/worn connection in the pedal linkage which rotates the pot in the MCOR. That may not be an issue with yours - but its REALLY COMMON. And because you indicateded it "hunts" for speed a bit at full throttle; a worn or loosely connected linkage that does not turn the full rotation on the MCOR might be to blame. Read THIS for more info. There are other instances of the same thing throughout this forum (told you it was common) - just search for the terms "MCOR linkage". It might be the cheapest speed gain you'll ever get.
