03 club car ds - same battery keeps dieing
I have a 2003 ds with new Trojan batteries (t875) in dec. 2013. The same battery keeps dieing every month to month and a half. It's the first battery in the series on the pass side. The one with the main positive lead running off it. The dealer keeps replacing the battery no questions asked. But every month they have to put a new one in it. Lights and radio are ran off a voltage reducer. They are stumped why it's happening-me too.

Is your reducer a 48-12v utilizing the entire pack?

Is that battery being charged? meaning is the red cable from the charger socket connected to that positive post?

Re: 03 club car ds - same battery keeps dieing
On the main positive post there should be the main positive wire going to the rear of the cart and also a smaller gauge wire going to the charge port...

Re: 03 club car ds - same battery keeps dieing
Got it. There was a red wire on the main battery. Thought it was from the charge port. It was from the voltage reducer. The charge port wire was on the positive on the second battery in the series. The battery was never being charged. Dealer was embarrassed. The guy that installed my batteries was fired a month ago. At least it's fixed. Thanks for the help.
