Series Solenoid
I was wondering about HD solenoids. I have my stock one still with a 500 amp controller, HD switch and 2 ga wires on my series CC 48V Club Car. I am not experiencing any problems (that I know), but I am curious what a HD solenoid would help? The cart is used on mostly flat streets here in Florida. I am also having a custom motor built for the cart that is suppose to increase torque by 60% and still have around 5500 rpm at 48V. It is a few weeks away.
Thanks, M |

Re: Series Solenoid
Been digging around the forum and found the answer to my question in one of ScottyBs post.
I believe I not only need a HD Solenoid, but also a fuse on the batteries. This forum is very helpful. M |

Re: Series Solenoid
Finished the install of HD Solenoid and 400AMP fuse. No one has responded but I will post how I modified. There was not enough room to install where old solenoid was so I had to attach to Alum frame. If you you have not seen Scotty's HD solenoid it is a huge. I picked up a ANN Fuse holder and a 400 amp fuse. I installed the fuse where the old solenoid was.
Here are a few pics. Take care !! M |

I don't have any first hand experience with electrical upgrades, but everything looks great! Thanks for the pics...
