Default Cart stops when gas pedal is pressed all the way

I have a 2002 Club Car IQ. When I start going I have to slowly press the pedal until I am up to speed. If I immediately press the pedal all the way, the cart stops and beeps once or twice. I then have to let off the pedal and press it again to begin moving again. It get worse the longer I run it. I have been reading about it possibly being a solenoid issue but wanted to see if I could get some advise first. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What should be the first thing I should check? FnR switch? Clean cables? Do you think it's a motor or controller issue? Or could it simply be the weak batteries? Any ideas would be great.

I am a newbie to carts so trying to learn as much as I can.

Someone will show up and give better advice. But you need to make sure your batteries are fully charged.image.jpg

One of the batteries had a bad cell and would shut the whole cart down. Replaced battery and it is running great!
