Default 2001 club car regen 2 48v stops on its own

I have a 2001 club car ds, its a 48v regen 2. You can be driving alone fine and the cart will slow on its own (as if your letting off the go pedal) and then just starts going again. It only does it for a matter of 2-3 sec when it happens. I believe the solenoids stays engauged when this happens because I do not hear it click. All battery are good and at full charge. Anyone have any ideas where to start?

I have the same issue with a 1999 Regen 2. In an effort to eliminate the problem I updated it to 2001 spec. ie disconnected the dynamic braking solenoid, replaced the main solenoid and the v-glide and then ran it with and without the regen attached and it made no difference. Can only assume that it is either the controller or motor. Stripped the motor and found that although the brushes were ok the commutator was quite scored and I suggested to the owner that we skim the commutator and replace the brushes but he declined, so the carts problem is not solved.
