V glide
Reading several post here about v glide problems.
I have a question about the one on my 99 DS. The wiper arm does not go all the way to the top contact. It is about half on the top one and half on the one below it at full pedal. The cart runs great and I've had no problems so far. Is this something I should try to adjust , or let it sleep as long as nothing seems to be acting up. |

Re: V glide
If you're happy with it I wouldn't worry about it too much. Mine was doing the same thing but I was used to it reaching the top contact. So I was used to my cart going about 27 mph. When it only started reaching the contact below it I was only getting 22 mph which is why I was so anxious to fix mine. I am pretty certain if the v-glides are ran under full throttle for a long time they will get excessively hot though. So maybe look into that?

Re: V glide
The V-Glides that get hot and melt under long periods of part throttle are the ones on resistor carts. The V-glide on a solid state cart I've never seen melt, as they are not affected by amp draw, etc like the others.

Re: V glide
Thanks, that is what I was thinking. There is no high amp cables to the v glide on my 99. I don't think. Just wondering if it has any effect on the speed by having the wiper contacting two contacts at the same time. Would it go faster if only contact with the last contact. It goes about 14 mph now.
