Default 2002 Club Car DS IQ runs erratically

I've had this problem for quite a while now and it is really beginning to get under my skin. My home is about a mile from the pro shop and when I take the cart there it is usually without incident. The problem is on the way home. All of a sudden the cart will lose power and the regen will kick in. When that happens, I take my foot off the accelerator and then immediately depress it again. The power is restored and the cart works fine until the next occurrence. On some days this can happen once or twice and on other days it can happen five or six times in that mile home.

To recap: The cart very seldom loses power on the way to the course (probably less than 2-3%). It never has lost power while playing golf. Power loss on the way home is almost 100% with frequency varying from one or two times to six or seven times per trip. Power is always restored by releasing the accelerator and then depressing it again.

If I had to guess, I'd put my money on the MCOR but I'd prefer not to buy a new one and find out I'm wrong. Is there any way to test the MCOR?

I would greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions and/or recommendations anyone can give me. Many thanks in advance.

I think it is time for you to get a new MCOR - it fixes a lot of this type of throttle signal complaints.
