Which engine do I have

Hello,
I am new to the forums. I just purchased what I thought was an 89 ezgo marathon. It has 89 as the last 2 digits in the manufacture code. When I run the serial number on the ezgo website, it tells me I have a 1990 gx444. I have been reading a lot of the posts, and I see in the discussions 2gp and 3gp and different years having different carburetors and engine types. With the info I have given would someone be able to tell me which carburetor and engine model I have. I am looking to do some work to get this running better and I think this would help a lot. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

If you have 2 spark plugs, it's a 4 stroke.

If you have one spark plug sticking out the top, it's a 3PG 2 stroke.

If you have one spark plug sticking out the driver's side down low, it's a 2PG 2 stroke.

Thanks for the info, I was sure it was 2 stroke, just not sure on the 2 pg or 3 pg and what that meant. Anybody have any info on that?
