Those comments were strictly aimed at the OPs desire to try to do something with the STOCK controller. If a alltrax (or other 48v controller) is used, i would not suggest any fancy wiring tricks, just copy the original setup.

That's more or less what I did. I added accessories, but left the solenoid activation circuit as it was. The only mods I did were to bypass the reed switch, after killing two.

I guess I'm not going to try it and as others have said I can ebay or sell the 36v controller on here and recoup some of the cash I spend on a 48V controller. I already got her up in the air and she will remain there until she's done...
