Re: G9 lost compression
Well I'm going to have to save up some beer cans for this work.. lol
I checked on 3 different options, Have Don Plowman do the rebuild, buy a new big block kit as Mr. Mike suggested and I had another cart place do a rebuild( they just ship it down south to have it done) All 3 prices were nearly the same. Thanks again for the help! |

Re: G9 lost compression
If I can save up the pennies i'll have Don Plowman do it. Good guy to talk to and his turnaround time was fast!

Re: G9 lost compression
IMHO If the stock modified is the same price as a clone swap my vote would be do the clone swap. There is NO comparison there.ALL NEW parts! New clutch, new exhaust, new carb, new engine,TONS of CHEAP speed equipment, more coming, and MORE POWER and TORQUE.

Re: G9 lost compression
Thanks QB100, sounds like I have a similar problem. Mine doesn't seem to be getting enough oil at the top end either (could that cause the rod to pop off IDK). But I will be cleaning out the tube this weekend and checking the support bracket and pin.
