Default Re: add speed sensor to motor?

I remapped the throttle and that has solved my speed issues.
I am 20mph FWD GPS max and 5mph reverse GPS max now.

The other back up plan is buy one more module and have a 11S6P configuration
(46V max at 180Ah) i.e 3 modules in parallel.

That configuration (11S6P) is going to run at about 43 volts most of the discharge cycle. That may be ok but it's a bit low for a standard 48V system. You can bypass some of the cells to try the different configurations without rewiring the pack. Just move the + or - wire to a different battery. Remember to rebalance if you do this.

It is not that simple to reconfigure the battery pack.
Yes I could very temporarily move + battery to different tap point.

Long term I would have to....
1. I have to change all buss bars so it parallel 3 batteries (a days worth of work making all new buss bars, plus purchase 1 extra module $$$ and add to pack so amp-hours are balanced) I would have to purchase copper bar and start drilling bars
2. change the charger voltage down to new max charge voltage (not sure it will go down to the new voltage but use electronic screw driver)
3. change the config on controller (easy)
4. Hope main contactor and FNR contactor work at lower voltage (Sw200 type as they were specd at 64V)
after some calcs......
We have issue as they are rated for 66% pull-in voltage (60V relay), i.e. 40VDC which is an issue at less than 3.3V per cell ~ 30%? capacity. So I would have to change main and reversing contactors $$$$
That would be a major problem.....

Awe !@#$%^& can't do 11S w/o tearing modules apart, only even powers of 2, so would have to buy 2 modules for 12S6P
