About to drill into the cart body...

The on off switch threads are a little under 1/2 inch...

I will use a 1/2 inch drill bit. Is there any type of drill bit that I should be using. Should I make a starter hole with my dremel?

Sorry for all the questions...i am not all that versed in this stuff.

Is it a plastic body or metal? You can make a starter hole with your drill if you want. Like 1/8" bit. Stepping up is always best, but not necessary.

If it's metal you might want to centerpunch the hole to keep the bit from wandering when you start out

My cart is a plastic body.

I was thinking of using a dremel to start and switch out to the 1/2 inch drill.
