84’ G1 help on identifying piston size
I’ve got an 84 g1 that needs a top end rebuild , though the cylinder itself looks like it’s in perfect shape , no scoring or even scratches . However the piston is definitely shot . Rings too . I want to get a new piston with ring kit and get the cylinder bored out but there aren’t any marks identifying what bore size the piston is . On the top of the piston I’m told should be stamped std or .25 etc but I don’t see anything on it .
There’s some marks I see on the inside of the piston that read J1000, 2445. And 1/2 Do any of these indicate the piston bore size ? |

Standard piston is not marked, only oversize ones. Yours should be original size.
