Yamaha G1 smokes only going uphill

Anyone know the if or how the baffles are inside the muffler? Might look at cutting it open if degreaser don’t work.

if you look through the Hot BBQ sticky there is pics of one cut open. I think the 82 had packing in them. If your willing to cut it you may as well throw it in the fire pit.
