hello everyone

Tried to start the cart today but it seems it doesn't have any fire. The wire coming off of the coil I hooked to the white and black wire on the cart .. also starter is spinning motor counterclockwise not sure if that makes a difference or not. Any help is appreciated.

Ant....

Counter clockwise should be the correct rotation for a 96 engine.

Are you missing spark or fuel?
Put a spare spark plug in the plug wire and lay it on top of the engine where it touches bare metal. Crank it and see if it has a bright blue or white spark. If it's dim or yellowish color or not consistent you have a spark problem.

Put your hand over the carb throat and crank it a few seconds and see if your hand gets we with fuel. If your hand stays dry the carb is not getting fuel, or the main jet is clogged.

It's a spark problem for sure. Got Fuel. even tried a little starting fluid just to make sure .. I think it's a bad coil.

Okay I got spark. I pulled the coil off of another engine I have. Still does not want to start. Is there a way to reverse the rotation on the starter?

Oh... I just re-read, and you said you put a 350 in it. Those pretty much all turn clockwise.

Switch the Green wire from A2 to A1, and move the Ground or Black wire to A2.

Yep. That did it.
She started to fire right up, getting dark out there right now.. I will button it all up and fire it up in the morning. As soon as it started turning the right way she fired..
Yippee
