Default EZ GO TXT Motor Swap Issue (Motor Stuck)

What am I doing wrong? The housing is coming off but the armature isn't. Do I just give it a good yank? I thought about using some as a lever to help push it off but I don't want to damage the coils (?) if I don't have to.

what has happened is the motor (armature) is stuck in the coupling.....that happens a lot when the last person that installed the motor forgot or just didn't put any inti-sieze in the coupling.

Any thoughts on getting it off of there?

you may just have to take it apart as is.....then work on it with a bit more room.....or if you have enough room to soak it with wd40 or some other pennatrent.

Spray it with lots of PB Blast or similar and wait and then try to take it off. If that doesn't work pull the whole axle off the cart. Take the motor casing off and then stand the axle upright and drop it with the motor facing down on plywood. A few drops and it should loosen off.

Careful when you do this as you can wreck stuff and the armature. It doesn't need to drop from a great distance. Small 2" drops while holding the axle. I have had an armature hit me in the foot so be careful.

If you have a foam mat or something similar to absorb the impact of an armature falling off also helps. I try to hold it all and usually have another pair of hands helping.

Fixed! A lot of PB Blaster and a little bit of elbow grease. Unfortunately, the motor didn't fare so well.
