Default 2003 g22e not running - leaking oil at the motor?

I picked up this non running cart for $700. I thought a deal!! Basically paid for the cost of the new “crappy” batteries.

Seller stated it was running last season but when they took it out of storage it did not run. They thought it was the batteries and replaced them. They also registered the golf cart with our community so if it wasn’t running I don’t think they would have done that.

I assume it’s the solenoid or stop switch. All other switches are good and the fuse is good. I turn the key to on and no clicks from solenoid but I do get 50v at the solenoid male connection. Is there a way to test to know if it’s the solenoid? I can pick one up right now at the shop.

Is there a way to test the stop switch?

I also have this leak at the motor and the rear diff appears to be empty or low which tells me I have some seal failure. Is this motor toast or can it be repaired? I am feeling like the deal I got was not a deal after all but I’m trying to be hopeful this will work out.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

WooHoo. I got it running with a new solenoid. We took it for a healthy drive and all seemed good.

How can I address the leak from the motor? Is it a matter of removing it and a new RTV gasket seal?

Pull the motor and see if it is the input shaft seal is leaking.
