Can I undo EZGO Speed Enhancement
I have a 2011 EZGO TXT, 48 Volt that came with “speed enhancement”. I have 12 inch wheels with low profile street tires (18 1/2 inches). The cart does 19 mph on the street but traction on grass is poor and I would rather have more torque for climbing hills. I am considering turf or all-terrain tires, either 20 inch or 23 inch tires plus a lift kit but I am afraid that it will not even pull a moderate hill with the larger tires.
Can the speed enhancement feature be undone and is there any adjustment to increase torque at the expense of top end speed? |

Which cart is it? If it's a PDS (front/reverse switch on dash), it more than likely has a "personality" plug that can be swapped for a stock or torque model.

The 2011 TXT 48v was programmed with a Passkey and a Cutis Programming Station or a Handheld.

No personality plug on the 48v model. The “speed enhancement” is done through some type of programming of the controller. A post a few years back indicated that torque is sacrificed if you opt for higher top end speed.
