48v Yamaha YDRE jerky at full throttle
I have a 2014 48V Yamaha YDREX5 that has gotten jerky at full throttle on flat ground - like the speed governor is over controlling. The controller was replaced by the dealer about three years ago, and reprogrammed to allow higher speed. The batteries were replaced a year ago with three Allied Lithium 48v 30A batteries.

Re: 48v Yamaha YDRE jerky at full throttle
My first thought would be the speed sensor on the end cap of your motor is failing and causing controller to act erratic ...

Is the speed sensor easily replaceable?

Re: 48v Yamaha YDRE jerky at full throttle
yes it is held on by four 7mm bolts on the back of your motor...Take off the rear pax wheel and look at the back of the motor and you can see it clearly...simply hold in the tab on the three pin connector and pull it apart...done...
