Default New EZGO anyone know the year and model

Getting rid of my G19 stretch. Picked up a EZGO. I think it was reprogrammed by dealer it is 36v and does about 18/19 MPH on stock wheels. I think it’s a TXT maybe ten years old ?

Eventually I want to upgrade with a Navitas controller and motor.

Can this be programmed to hit 25mph ?

Are there any 6 inch lift kits that won’t make the cart run like crap? I have a jakes 6 inch lift on my G19 and I feel every crack

Looks like you have an EZ Go TXT PDS cart...you can get what's called a "speed chip" for very little money that plugs right into the controller for like $10 if it doesn't already have one...

I just put the Freedom chip in my 2005 TXT. Went from 13mph to 18 mph on stock wheels. So most likely you already have the Freedom chip.

I’ll be adding a 6” lift and 23” tires next week. That might add another 1-2mph.

Are you staying 36v or going 48v?

If looking for more speed. I would first add a controller. That might get you to 25. If not, you can add a speed motor but you will also need to change out Wires, Solenoid and FNR switch.

Look above the batteries on the rail for a sticker and date code. Probably is a > 2001 cart but how many bolts hold the steering column to the floor?

Yes, must already have the speed chip. I bought it from an older guy who never used the cart. He said he purchased it from Golf Carts of St Augustine 3 years ago. Looks like they added a seat kit and the speed chip.

48v somewhere in the future. I am worried about the range upgrading the controller and a lift, I need a range of at least 15 MPH. I heard there is someone on here that can program the stock controller to get 25 MPH.

What lift are you getting? Im looking for one that wont kill the ride quality

PDS controller tops out at 19.5 with stock tires. Larger than that will get you more speed but puts a toll on the controller.. Also won’t take 48 volts. Plan on an Alltrax or Navitas in the future. I have a stock drop axle 4” on my workhorse with 23”s and have been happy with it. Still fairly stable

Bob Boyce can tweak TXT48 and RXV controllers, but not PDS controllers.

The max motor speed is about 4400RPM with a PDS controller, which yields about 18.5MPH with 18" tall tires and 12.44:1 gears.

To get more speed from a PDS you have to go with taller tires, numerically lower gears or a magnet disk with fewer pairs of poles. Or a higher speed motor. Or a controller that allows higher motor RPM.

I use an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS controller which has a user adjustable max motor RPM.

Ah I like Navitas I would likely go with their kit motor and controller but I haven’t been able to keep a golf cart 6 months so I’ll wait before putting that kinda money in it. How do you think the current setup would handle a 6 inch lift and 23s?

I’m putting on a cheap 6” drop axle lift off ebay. Then adding 23” turf/street tires and rear seat.

It will never go off-road and 95% time its just 2 people in the cart. So not doing controller or motor right now either.
