2002 PDS-did I pay too much?
Hey all,
I am new to the forum and clueless on what carts are worth and what to look for, I just bought a 2002 EZGO PDS at auction for $900 to use around the farm and some golf. It was a cart from a private club in the midwest. Everything seems ok as far as batteries(not sure how old) and it seems to be in good condition for its age. What should I check right from the start as far as maintenance since I know nothing of its history and want to get it in shape for the summer. Thanks in advance for your input! |

An all too common question.... It appears to me that either you bought on impulse without knowing what it was worth or you thought you got a good deal and are looking for assurance.
Hmmmm.....Either way it reminds me of my wife when she asks ...... 'Honey, do these pants make my butt look big' I mean, what do you say ..... Welcome top BGW! |

Definitely bought on impulse which is not uncommon but didn't really feel like I got a good deal mostly because I wouldn't know what a good deal is on a cart. After reading many posts on here I realize if the batteries are old and need replaced soon it probably wasn't the best buy but this is my first cart and I can see how this could become addictive! Had no idea of the possibilities of a golf cart.

Sounds like if the Batteries are ok and you got the charger, you probably did ok. I got mine with good batteries and no charger for 450. but I have have a much older unit. I am up to 750 total investment so far. I know I will go much further than that. (esp. if I keep hanging around here. HA!) I am with the others, post some pics and Welcome in to BGW!

It's like I tell people when they talk about Harley bike prices, If you can afford it then it's fine regardless of price!
I think you did good on the price, check the top of the neg battery post for a stamp, that will indicate year of battery mfg. |

Well...if it's in good shape, a new set of batteries is about $550 so that's $1450 total. I'd say that's not a bad deal.
