Default melted battery terminal worth saving ?

Since the cart knew it was gonna get sold, it decided to break down

Burned up a battery terminal and some wires. Should I fix or tap into the battery or just buy a new one ? the Battery is less than a year old

I don't know if you've been advised of this but FIX IT!.

I fixed mine about 7 months ago and it's doing just fine.

I have a neighbor that "fixed" his and it only lasted a year. I fixed a car battery like this, and it lasted for many years. If the damage is limited to the terminal, it's a slam dunk. If the battery case is damaged, you need to fix that, or acid will attack your fix. I fixed my car battery with fiberglass resin and cloth. I'll bet a hot glue gun will also work.
