Won't go forward or reverse
My cart won't go into forward or reverse. When you press the pedal, it makes a clicking noise, but doesn't go. Is this a transmission issue/gear issue or something else? Please advise.

Re: Won't go forward or reverse
I found out what the problem is, and how to fix.
Bear with me because my terminology isn't accurate. The problem is with the metal piece that has the tire bolts on it. It is also the piece that covers the brake assemble. In the center of it, it has 'ribs' in it... gears, built in to the center of it. And those teeth align with the teeth on the rear axle. The teeth are rounded out. So, the rear axle just spins inside of it. Will be an easy fix. |

Re: Won't go forward or reverse
The piece you are referring to is sometimes called a Hub and sometimes called a Drum. Either way, you are correct, it is an easy fix and should only cost you about $50 to repair. Please make sure when you install the new one you tighten it all the way and DO NOT back off the nut to line up the cotter pin.

Re: Won't go forward or reverse
Manufacture torque specs are 70-140 ft pounds for the castle nut. It will strip again if you do not get it TIGHT.
