Torque for rear Axel U bolts & oil question
Hi all, just wanted to know what to torque setting is for my rear axle u bolts for my 2003 workhorse.
I already cracked the aluminium engine mount on my other workhorse and I don't want to go for 2 in a row. Know I know a lot of you are using Mobil 1 in your carts, I was about to do the same but thought to ask an Ezgo tech as I was ordering some parts at the time. He said no way the only oil you should use is the 30 w monograde. Is this BS or is there some fact to what he said. I have seen first hand and run Mobil 1 in my car and it's a great oil so why should it be any different in a cart? If my rings are worn will Mobil 1 be to light weight? Thanks Aussie Workhorse. |

Re: Torque for rear Axel U bolts & oil question
as far as toruwe i am not sure. never even looked it up. I tighten them with a 3/8 Makita battery impact and let it ride.
as far as oil. I run Royal purple oil in our cart. I run a 15/40 grade. down in teh south where it gets 105' during the summer I think 30wt is just too thin. My engine builder puts rotella 15/40 diesel oil in his. Thats is what he tells me to run. He worked for ezgo/club car for over 40 years combined. |
