99 ezgo txt speed
I have a 99 EZGO TXT cart and was wondering if there was any way to make it faster without changing the motor? Thanks in advance.

Re: 99 ezgo txt speed
Is there a toggle switch on the controller environmental cover?

Are you talking about the tow/ run toggle? If so then yes.

Re: 99 ezgo txt speed
You have DCS cart. A controller and solenoid upgrade would give you up to 20mph on the flats and a lot of increased torque for the hills.

Re: 99 ezgo txt speed
If you have a run/tow switch that is a pds cart. You can buy a speed chip,it is a connector that you plug into controller. Will make your cart 20 mph. They only cost a few dollars.

Re: 99 ezgo txt speed
The DCS carts were the predecessor to the PDS carts Larry is talking about. The PDS is a better design. It does not have the weakness for low voltage self-destruction that the DCS carts were so prone to.
Not that running at low voltage can't hurt it, it can. It just doesn't blow the controller every time you hit 30v because for one thing it has a low voltage cut off. |

Re: 99 ezgo txt speed
Correct. The cart in question here is a '99 DCS, and does not have the chip option. However, a higher amp controller will set it free....
