Default '01 EZGO PDS 36v to 48v or extra battery for accessories??

I use my cart for golf, my course has a lot of hills. I have 4 gauge wires, high/low switch and stock everything else. I had a radio installed, they hooked the pos up to one battery and the neg up to another battery.

My problem is I loss most of my battery by the ended of the round when I run the radio. I thought about adding a 12v battery on the drivers side for the radio and get a 12v charger.

I also have thought about doing a complete upgrade to a 48v but wasn't sure about the cost. Can you had a 12v to 6-6v batteries to make 48v or do you need 8-6v or 6-8v?

My cart is slower than average going up hills too. The carts the course owns are 48v and they seem to do fine on the hills.

Controller upgrade and keep the 36v? Controller and moter upgrade, keep the 36v?

Any advice?? Thank you.

Do a 48 volt upgrade using the 6 battery option. If you did the 8 battery opition you would not have a place to put your golf bag.

Upgrade the controller to 400 AMP and Smile as you pass the Club's carts going uphill.....

Oh and yeah, install the extra 12 volt deep cycle battery to run the lighting from.

ScottyB should be around here somewhere and I am sure he can hook you up with the parts you need.
