1991 EZGO price quote
I am thinking about going to look at this cart I found online. Its a 1991 EZGO with a 12 HP Kohler engine swapped into it. It also has a comet 94c clutch and 4 inch lift. What is something like this worth? Are the Kohler engones relable, or would i be better off w a different engine??
Thanks all, im just trying to get back in the game!! |

Re: 1991 EZGO price quote
You need to check and see if cart has reverse it probably originally had a 2 stroke engine which runs backwards for reverse the 4 stroke won't do that but they may have put a 4 stroke rearend in to accomidate but check

Re: 1991 EZGO price quote
It sounds like a home made engine swap, but there is nothing wrong with that if it's done well. That's a decent motor but not much more power than stock, the comet is a very good clutch and the lift helps the value if it's solid and not home made. If the rest of the cart is decent I would think anything less than 1000 would be good deal, just depends on everything else. It's still a 20 year old GC!........What is the asking price??

Re: 1991 EZGO price quote
there isnt a set price, he just said that he has about $1200 invested into the stuff done to the cart. I was thinking of offering $700-$750 to leave a little room to finish off the parts that do need replacing. I dont wanna overpay though, how can i tell if its just a homemade lift when i go check it out??

Re: 1991 EZGO price quote
Without pictures , not much else can be said. I have a 91 stock yamaha that I wouldn't take less than a grand for and it needs some TLC. I have a 88 ezgo with the 2pg , lifted with douglas wheels and tires that I would want that much for also, just to give you an idea
