Front axle replacement - 2000 ezgo txt

Hello -

Nice forum. My name is Mo and I just signed up today in an effort to help a neighbor repair his stock 2000 txt.

Last weekend he stopped by my house and invited me to cruise around the neighborhood and enjoy a beverage or two. While he was driving he reached down to grab another of said beverage and managed to smack into a tree with the left front tire. It bent the rim and cracked the front axle. As far as I've been able to tell all the linkages are OK. So, we found a new axle and plan to put it on next weekend.

I have a healthy arsenal of tools but was wondering if there were any specialty items needed to replace the front axle. It looks like a fairly straight forward job but I'm hoping to get a few tips from anyone who has done it in the past.( I tried the search feature first but surprisingly didn't find any info or used the wrong key words.)

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

welcome, as far as i know what you see is what you get but wait for a few of the guys who know more about it.......that will teach him bending over those beers should have been in arms reach.....................

It is a pretty straight forward replacement, shouldn't be a problem.

And you should pay for it!!!
It's the Co-pilots job to keep the Cap'ins drink cold and replentished.
