The company that owns Jake's has a very large China based manufacturing tie. my guess is, it won't be long until everything Jake's is not longer made in the USA if the past is any indication of the future.

See these companies get so carried away and worry more about quantity over quality and that is not what I like.

Thats another turn off right there. CHINA=FAIL

You are correct, I have never owned one. I would like to but since they are shutting down production on it I probably never will..... The question is, if the kit is so great, why are they gonna stop making them?

no, you do not HAVE to modify it out of the box. The kit rides quite well for MOST applications and most people would never notice the difference. I mention the change of shocks because I am aware that Lizard isn't most people and would likely want the best performance from the unit.

yeah, that was a concern for my as well, hopefully they don't do it. One of the best things to me was the fact that Jakes uses all American made components right down to the steel they form the kit from.

Hahahahahaha!!!! and you can easily make a limo cart with some bamboo inserts in between the frame. Just water them and watch it stretch out 30"!
