With a pds you should always be cognizant of the fact that the motors do produce more heat when driven at slower speeds and never put them in a stall situation. That is a situation where you are asking it to go and it can not either due to lack of power or increased load or too steep of an incline etc.

As long as you are aware of these situations you should be okay with the PDS and mild off roading with the 808 pkg and 8 pc cable set.

I plan on going the same route, but with a possible PQ Bandit upgrade after that, will 400 Amp still be cool?

Jrantz, where in Georgia?

I'm in Moultrie and I have a '05 lifted PDS with the 400 amp Alltrax. I've fried one, but I'm happy with the performance over stock.

I did, but I went over kill on it and did 2/0. All you need is 6 gauge. I 'd did the heavy ones cause I wanted the beefy look when you opened the hood and I'm in industrial sales, I got the stuff really cheap.

I'll be at Fort Stewart in the am!

NO. 6 gauge is factory on a PDS bro. Do AT LEAST 4 gauge.

if you are otherwise satisfied with the performance of the cart, aside from the occasional ditch episode, you could just try adding a fan or two on the stock controller.

something like this
