If a stock 2hp can handle 48v, I don't see why this one wouldn't. I bet the cart picked up 4 mph just by swapping this motor in. My old stocker was on the shady side of dead after all the abuse it suffered at my hand. My cart is mostly stock, no lift, stock tires.
