Re: 2006 CC - New Pads - Slow - Smell
Ok, I just finished the auto-adjust and once again the drivers side auto-adjuster didn't stop clicking until the tire was unable to free spin.
I must be doing something wrong. Should I play with the slide plate on the back where the cable attaches? |

Re: 2006 CC - New Pads - Slow - Smell
Adding all 3 pictures here. Not sure if anyone can tell if the pads are oriented incorrectly or not. Another thing I noticed when I pulled the floormat was that the bracket that the two cables slip into had the drive side cable with less slack than the passenger. So when I pushed on the brake, it seemed like the driver side was pulling more than the passenger.

Re: 2006 CC - New Pads - Slow - Smell
Everything looks good and seems to be oriented properly. The only thing that concerns me is "Made in Korea" I swear by OEM components. I have no experience with these brakes and they may be great, but I'm quick to doubt aftermarket components due to so many bad experiences.

Re: 2006 CC - New Pads - Slow - Smell
So an update:
I had someone come out from North State Golf Cars here in Sacramento to look at it. After having the same issues I was having, we went to their shop and Eric swapped out the pads and drums from another cart they had there. When I re-installed them it worked like a champ. It was either the pads, or the drums. |

FYI, you might wanna save those old adjusters as they may be better than the alternative.... Club Car no longer sells them. They make you order an entire brake cluster.
