Yamaha G2 Exhaust Pushrod keeps popping out of place
Hi, I have a yamaha g2 and the exhaust pushrod keeps popping out of place, would anyone have a guess of what to repair on it?

I would guess the exhaust valve is "sticking" due to carbon build up. Head removal can be done with the engine in the car, but you will need a new head gasket and valve cover gasket. If you need help, just ask.

Okay I will look into doing that, Would you happen to know if there is anything internally that could break causing this?

Before you pull the head, do you know for sure that the valve lash is set at .004?

Could be a bad spring, damaged pushrod, or even valve (or carbon like posted). But if you take the head off and check it all out you will get it fixed, that is what I would do. Not hard job to do maybe 15-20 minutes. Can clean it all up and inspect, then you know its good to go. I think all you do basically (by memory) is pull muffler (2 bolts, 2 nuts), pull carb away from head, remove shrouds on head (maybe hardest part getting at bolts), remove rocker cover and then head.
