G1 turns over a long time befor it will start

Did you make sure the carb jets were clean when you had it apart? It's hard to tell just by looking. You need to spray carb cleaner through them and make sure they aren't plugged.

Took the carb apart and made sure all looks fine, put the carb cleaner to it and everything seems clear, brought it into town so it will be easier to work on in the garage. Still doing the same thing.

Time for a compresson check.
Could be it needs new crank seals.

Will check compression, just curious how tough and expensive is it to replace crank seals?

They are pretty cheap. About $15-$20 each. The hardest part of changing them out is removing the drive clutch and the flywheel. Not bad though if you have the right tools.
