do all 2 stroke motors run in reverse

i have a question i have a 86 marathon and the motor runs foward
and backwards for reverse do all the newer ones after 1989 also
do this, when did they start putting in a trans that you could use a regular
engine 4 stoke when did they stop making 2 stokes in ezgo thanks

Ezgo 2strokes all ran backward for reverse from the 70s until 1990 when they were ended.You can put a 4-stroke Marathon(90-94)trans axle in Any year Marathon.Hope this helps.

thanks pachanga90 was just wondering, now i will be looking for a
1990 or newer for a new project maybe snowmobile engine, just made
one last year in a 6x6 ran very good but not to quite

The rear-axle is all you need if you already have a Marathon to work with.They bolt in,no matter what year.The only different rear-end set up is electric Marathons use leaf-springs.Yes,Mikes' Fab is mine.I'm upgrading the Website soon to add pics.I wanted to get a bunch of stuff done and get good pics to post.I've got most of them now.
