Ok here comes a dumb question. I have 1 extra deep cycle battery here at the house. Could I use that to replace the 2 bad 6 volts just to make sure everything works before I get the new set? Or is that not how these things work?

It would be 6, 6 volts. With a 12 on the end. Just temporary, would it even work to test it??

Yes but the charger wouldnt work correctly. So, make sure you have charged everything individually then go for it. The controller will only look for 48volts, not whether its 8 six, 4 twelve, or in between.

Ok my 12v was junk too.

Interstate finally called me back today and can have me 4 possibly 6 actual golf cart 6v batteries by friday. There refurbished for $50 each with a 6 month warranty. Ill probably just go that route and have them test all 8 of my old ones to see which ones I should keep.

Is there an online source for me to order my tie rod end and brake cables? I cant find anything with an 06 listed anywhere.

Just the tie rod ends are 43958-00 @ $14.76 each. You would need two of course. And the parking brake cables are 42400-89B @ $39.44 each (2 again of course). If you call our main office number (800-222-4653) you can ask for the closest dealer to you by zip code.

I got my batteries in and ran the cart around just a bit. Put it on charger and it cycled and did its thing to solid green after several hours.

No onto my parts. Would any one have a parts breakdown for this specific cart? All I have found stops at year 2000. I want to have all my part numbers when I call the closest dealer which is about 2 hours away. So I know they will ship the right stuff the first time.

Tech support, Will the old parts manual work for my 06?

I got the tie rod number, brake cable numbers, except I think my brake cables are 2 different lengths??? I also need numbers for complete headlight, signal light and a driver side rear hinge for the body.

Why did they make it so difficult for an individual to find info and parts for these?

Its not. The current manual is 10mb so its too big to email. I can send you a link to it with your email address.
