Cleaning the Battery Bay
I was just looking under my front seat and noticed that it's pretty dirty/dusty. Any suggestions on how to clean the battery bay AND what to use? I don't want info on cleaning battery terminals but rather the whole area. Thanks!

I found the same thing accumulated road dust. So what I did was to make up a mild solution of dawn dawn dishwashing liquid in a hand sprayer. Sprayed the battery pack, the horn, the motor..let it set a bit...the rinse off....the amount of dirt being flushed out was amazing.. What I did for my agm sealed battery pack may not be such a good idea for fla batteries, as you don't want a base cleaner finding it's way in to the fla cells and damaging the electrolyte. As far as the dc step down converter... just damp mopped, the same for controller housing... Made a big difference in appearance... Hope this helps Happy cartin' |
