04 EZGO pds ...confused
i have a 04 ezgo pds 6 inch lift ....2 weeks ago i toasted my stock motor ...ordered a new one from Buggies unlimited it is a D&D,SPEED & TORQUE 3.9 hp @ 2410 rpm , when i installed it . it only ran 14 mph and would not climb over a pebble. called and discussed with them they informed me my 400 amp ALLTRAX controller would not push that motor so i ordered a 600Amp ALLTRAX controller ( told them to set it up for the best of Both worlds ) ...installed it today ...it runs 15 mph and has about 1/2 the torque my stock motor had ???? my cart has upgraded solenoid and cables ...im confused as i thought the $1200.00 i spent would have made a positive diffrence not a - ...any help would be appreciated ...

Sorry, Seems like that motor does not run well on 36v? Seems like 400 - 600 amps should have run it faster than that unless it is just a high torque motor?

Re: 04 EZGO pds ...confused
i use the cart for hunting...mostly good roads..some minor hills but mostly flat...usually me and 1 passenger and maybe the dog ..i was very happy with the stock motor and the 400 alltrax...this new setup is very much a waste of money is it possiable the new motor is bad ??

Re: 04 EZGO pds ...confused
That can happen. Not common at all, but? So the motor and the controller went or just the motor went out?
What motor or package did you buy? I'd like to look at the specs. |
