![]() As far as a spring, I put a umax spring in mine. Very happy with it, nothing has stopped it yet. You can get a hold of Smallblock450SL, he can get you one! $9 bucks! He's in
Wash. ST. so get it fast! Or go to yamaha golf store and just buy one, there cheap!! |

![]() Thats an interesting thought. Are you able to climb hills at a respectable speed??
Im not looking at breaking land speed records I just want to keep up with the stock height carts...or maybe a little faster |

![]() Don't know if I could stay with stock carts or not. The 23 " tires make quite a tall rear gear ratio. It does slow down, but my experience is at 6500 feet elevation. Down at 1000', my car is alot pepier! I'm not having any problems with its performance tho.

![]() Ya my cart is at 4000' not as high as you but there is a difference.I think Ill spend time attempting to source the spring locally. Im kinda worried about the spring tension on the umax I mean what if its strong but not as strong as what I have in there now? I sure wish I knew because that seem like the way to go.Just my dumb luck Plowmans is doing inventory. Maybe 450sl has experience with plowmans stuff vs umax. I guess $9.00 and a little time to r/r spring isnt that bad.I could always put either spring in my stock cart
![]() Thanks for the food for thought. Tom |

![]() When I called plowmans we talked about getting a power pack that included a spring, sheave, belt, exhaust, jetted carb, clutch puller, etc for $400 even plus $50 for shipping.
It is a lot to spend, but I want me cart to be fast, even with the 23" tires. I think that is the route i am going to go..... |

![]() Tom, I'm presently building a G22, (in the G8 club, thread). I just got the chassie running tonight, at 6pm. Anyway, I put the concierge/umax spring in it, same as I have in my G8. The 22 has 20" tires on it. It shifts out perfact! Think its gonna be very good off road! Think you'd like it as well!
My G8 has been in places, a golf cart had no business being! |
