![]() I'd suggest the factory service manual. Will cost you about 85.00, but well worth it for your project. I installed a set in a gas "drive" and wasn't to bad, the special gear lube is expensive enless you drain the old stuff and reuse it. Good luck on your project. Dave

![]() I also had a local golf cart shop put a rear seat on my Yamaha 2007 drive (48 volt electric) and when two adults get in the rear seat the carts speed is cut in half. It feels like the brakes are on. What is the fix for this

![]() frankie, if you doing this for the dded weight, you need to increase torque (loe end) to get it up to speed, a clutch kit would be a good bet.. to get your power back..

![]() I meant motor kit, should have re-read what I wrote, sorry...(one should never drink and type)
but if I re-read correct you compliant, you having a problem getting up to speed when you carry 4 people on the cart changing you stock gear (12.1) to a hi-speed gear (8.1) will give you 50% more top speed, but you may not have enough torque to get you there with all the weight on the cart...witch is the problem you have now.. Picture you have a car with a standard transmission, go up a hill at 20mph in second gear your ok then try it in 4th gear, then engine bogs down from to high of a gear also, if you have replaced the stock tire with larger one's, and you added weight, you may consider a lower get (15.1) over the stock 12.1 that gives 25% more torque. this is all based depending on the model you have and what is available to your cart. But before I did anything, I would check everything first, check all connection, cable, controller and so on... to make sure everything is tight and connections are clean, any loss in connection with cause loss of amps to the motor and that will decrease the performance under a load. |

![]() Is there a good after market 2 speed kit for a electric cart, that works, that would give you what you need when loaded, then give you what you need for the speed? Top end say 30-35 running 48 v eight batterys?

![]() Most places should be able to help you with that. I know my cousin went with a D&D motor with a 2 stage switch speed/tourque.
