![]() I have a 99 EZ Go gas and I would like some possible quick things to look for in order to get the lights working. I can wire them directly from the ignition switch to the light switch and they will work but the fuse going to the ignition blows quickly. That tells me that the lights work but I need to get them to work correctly. I have checked the fuses on the fender and all seem to be good. Any other quick things to look for?
Thanks, SAR Dad |

![]() Sounds like you got a grounded pos. wire somewhere... Check the wiring for barespots around the frame and metal parts..

![]() I would guess that the fuse to the ignition switch is rated to protect the ignition and that is all. If you are attemting to connect two 48 watt headlights you are attemting to pull another 8 amps through that fuse ( W=VxA) which will cause it to blow pretty quickly. Now you could just put a bigger fuse in the line but that would remove some protection from your ignition circuit. If you absolutely positively must wire through the ignition switch then you need to wire in a relay to take the load. Or you could just connect directly to the battery via a 12 Amp fuse.
