![]() I have a 85 marathon that i have been rebuilding.I frist unhooked all wires and the airfliter.Then I took out the shocks and 2 bolt and rolled the hole rearend out.I got another rearend with an engen from another marathon.I statered putting it together but no wiring yet and found i problem.This new engine I had had a bad clutch and was not there and i still have the old one from the old engine but no clue what the tool was to get it off.Does anyone know what this might be?

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...go-clutch.html There is an E-Z-Go specific puller, but I was unable to locate one. So I went with the suggestion part way down where you use a 3/4" fine thread bolt, and use it to push on a piece of rod (I used a bolt put in head first). Since I didn't have a big enough socket, I just locked some vise grips on the bolt, gave them a few whacks with a hammer, and off popped the clutch! Word to the wise - if I didn't have an impact gun, I'm not sure I could have got the clutch's retaining bolt out. |
