![]() I just got done replacing crank seals on my 89 and put her all back together and now at a certain rpm it has a vibration. It is fine above and below that point so I must be reaching the harmonic of something I just can't figure it out for the life of me. I took the cover off and the flywheel is tight. The clutch is tight and I put all the parts back in. Any ideas?

![]() Vibration or shaking? Flat spots on tires from sitting?
Can you put it up on blocks and watch it as you run it. |

![]() I noticed it when on jack stands. You can hear it and see it at a certain rpm. And it does it with it on the ground too. It didn't do it before the seals.

![]() Take the drive belt off and try again. If the vibration is gone it is not the engine or drive clutch.

![]() I know this is an old thread but did you get this figured out? I have the same issue on mine now. It's a vibration but only at a certain speed.

![]() If you have a 3PG motor you will have the horizontle muffler. Under the muffler there is a pan it sits on. On each end there are two bolts that will work loose and you may even have a cracked pan around bolts. If So, weld up the cracks and re-install bolts with flat washers under the nuts. I am saying this as this is what mine did and it was not realy a vibration but a rattly souning feeling. Mine went away as soon as I did the repair.
Some say the motor craddle will also crack sometimes and give the same problem. Also make sure your muffler straps are tight. Hope this is worth the time to check out. I do believe that your ezgo has the 3PG engine but if muffler is verticle it is a 2PG. |
