Re: starter generator rebuild?
key is hard wired on all the time, Which could also be an issue, how do I get in pedal box? Also is there a way to diagnose the micro switch? I do hear a click when I hit the pedal but unsure if its in the linkage or not. This has been an ongoing issue every now and again

Re: starter generator rebuild?
ok, im about to go out and check voltages on the solenoid posts, im unsure of where the micro switch is for the pedal. I will also try to check voltage at the starter

Re: starter generator rebuild?
I have power at 1 post on the solenoid, the other post does not get power at all even when pedal is pressed down, If I jump the solenoid the cart will turn over but it still wont fire. Is this the sign of a bad solenoid?

Re: starter generator rebuild?
Ok sorry to whoever reads this for posting so much, I think I have isolated my no start problem to the solenoid. there are 4 posts on the starting solenoid 2 big two small, one of the big ones has 12.8 volts all the time from battery, when I engage the pedal the other big post doesn't energize BUT one of the small posts does (which im assuming is the s post). this tells me power is getting to the solenoid through the micro switch but the solenoid is not activating the other posts, which i think would also explain why the cart wont start when the posts are jumped, due to the post for the coil not being energized...sound about right? would like to order parts if im on the right track.

Re: starter generator rebuild?
Yes that sounds about right. You can find the trouble shooting process in this guide:
