New xct 48400-1264
I just finished installing the controller and motor turned it on and selected forward and pressed the pedal and nothing. I don't hear no clicking and the controller status light is a solid green light.

Re: New xct 48400-1264
if there is NO CLICK of the solenoid.....then you don't have that circuit properly hooked up.

Now you're going to have to get your computer out and connect it to the controller with a USB printer cable. Download the software and see what is happening inside the controller. The third page should show what signals you got and which ones are missing.

If you bought it from Cartsunlimited, ScottyB will take care of you just like he did with me when I plugged something in the wrong spot

Will the controller give a code for a bad solenoid?

Re: New xct 48400-1264
You can jump the solenoid to test it. Take the small leads off and get 2 jumper wires, run one to pack + and the other to pack - . If the solenoid clicks then the controller is not telling it to close. If that is the case there is a good chance the charger interlock setting is wrong. It happened to me and two friends of mine. Got it all hooked up, solid green light, hit the go pedal and nothing. Changed the charger setting in the controller and everything worked perfectly.
However, last week my neighbor installed a new XCT in his Precedent and we had the same issue. After checking everything from the harness to the MCOR we concluded the controller was bad and Alltrax sent him a new one. Like all electronic devices, even the best brands have an occasional DOA unit. But I’m willing to bet it’s the charger interlock setting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: New xct 48400-1264
Connect a computer to the XCT controller and look at the monitor screen. It will tell you when the signals from the keyswitch, F/R switch and pedal switch are present, as well as some other stuff.
Attached is what the monitor screen for a XCT-PDS looks like. Yours may be different because you have a XCT-1264, but it ought to show you if all the things needed to energize the solenoid are present. |
