Default Help cart wont go.

Cart was running fine last week, went to load it up to carry back to Florida and it acts like the rear end is lock up. Its notbut that is the way it acts. Jacked it up to see, wheels turn fine. What happened was when I flipped the run tow switch, I heard a loud cluck from around the controller. (might have been the sinolid. I assume this has been answered before but not really sure what to put in the search bar. Thanks

It's been answered, but for an RXV.

You have a TXT, so it wouldn't have a motor brake on it and the answer wouldn't work for you.

When you jack it up and spin the wheels, do they spin in the same direction or opposite? If you were to have someone hold one and you spin the other it will then spin the motor too so it'll add some resistance, but I would think you should still be able to spin it.

If you can't then it sounds to me like you may have motor or rear diff issues. *BUT* I'm 'thinking out loud' here since I've never done this, just thinking how it should work in my minds eye...

I did spin both and both turned. Feels like the brake may be dragging a bit on pass side though. Something else to ck out.

Did you spin both of them in the same direction at the same time and spin the motor over?

Does it make a sort of whirring sound when you try to drive it? You might have a spun hub. Quite common on TXTs for some reason.

Soft cast iron brake drum/hub, it dies first. But overall, for a "weakest link" at least it's fairly cheap, and can be fixed by just about anyone...

I had a car with a nylon gear on the end of the distributor. Much better sacrificial part than a cam shaft. Likewise, a hub is better than an axle.

Ok quick update, spun the wheells and all worked like it was supposed to. Got a little frustrated with it, so i I kept loading the truck to go back to Florida to work on my place. I came back about 30 mins later and everything worked like normal.
