Default RXV will not run with negative charge wire connected

2013 RXV, just put good batteries in.

Plugged in verified good QUIQ charger, but it will not charge, get red flashing light. Have 48 volts on the 2 pins at the charge port on the cart.

Cart would not move, no reverse buzzer, no motor click.

Removed the black wire going from main negative to charge port. Reverse buzzer works, cart runs. Connect it back, nothing.

Have 3 wires on main negative and 3 on main positive (2 wires plus temp sensor).

I am guessing this is a charge port or charger lockout issue?

Likely bad charge port. By chance is the green light on at all times when all the wires are hooked up?

Don't think so, but I will check. Just odd to me that the charger will not charge even though I am reading 48v at the port. Wondering if this could be another of those battery temp sensor issues.

Could be... Hard to test the sensor while in place without doing some ghetto stuff. If the temp sensor "black box" has been the subject of corrosion, it could very likely be the problem....

OP did just change out the batteries. Is the sensor prone to physical damage?

It's fairly protected, but corrosion intrusion is number one killer. The little black box at the end is hard molded plastic/rubber (solid, a little flex, not very prone to crushing). The so-called "grey wire" with 2 conductors inside is more prone to damage, but it's tough too, and would have to be quite careless with flying batteries to get it...

The sensor looks ok from the outside. I learned a lot (and contributed a little) here about these temp sensors a while back. However, my memory fails me now, I can't recall what happens when the sensor fails or the wires are cut.

I know it will not charge, but can't recall if the cart will run in either condition above.

It could be a charger interlock issue where the cart thinks charger is connected, but I am not sure how that would cause it not to charge when connected.

Just trying to figure out a way to test/verify before I order a new charge port
